The Willis family of Bogue Banks have been in the seafood business since they first settled here back in 1939. That’s over 65 years of experience and 4 generations strong that has provided the shrimp, oysters, crabs and fish that has made North Carolina Seafood famous. In 2001 Cap'n Willis opened the doors in Emerald Isle and its everything you want in a seafood market. It's very clean, well decorated in true coastal Carolina style and the seafood selection is incredible. Take your pick of the fresh caught flounder, grouper, wahoo, tuna, salmon, trout, mahi mahi or king mackerel. There is also a great selection of shellfish. Fresh NC shrimp with the heads on or off, peeled & deveined. Oysters & Calms in the shell or by the pint. Hard crabs, soft-shell crabs, king crab, snow crab and lobster. Any or all can be put in a steamer pot with some fresh veggies and seasoning ready for you to take home and steam for lunch or dinner.
Create your own seafood dinner with back fin, lump and jumbo lump crabmeat already picked and packaged for you ready to eat. Don’t forget to pick up some crab cakes too. If you want to take a bit of heaven home with you Cap'n Willis will pack your cooler with the freshest catch and ice it down for the ride home.
Cap'n Willis also has companion grocery items like sushi kits, seafood seasoning, homemade tarter sauce, rice, pastas, marinades, hush puppy mixes, seafood breading and fresh produce when available.
