The family running Outer Banks Cruises have been Outer Banks natives for nine generations, and they've operated the premier sightseeing and dolphin watch cruises along the Outer Banks since 1995. The operation is Coast Guard inspected and licensed for 49 passengers. Cruises are comfortable, with a shaded passenger area, snacks, children-friendly crews and a wheelchair accessible deck. Bayside tours, which do not go into the ocean, are available. Monday through Friday, four trips are offered daily. Saturday and Sunday cruises are available by appointment, and private cruises also are available. Scheduled tours operate May through October from the Manteo Waterfront Boardwalk near 40 retail shops and 7 restaurants. Reservations are preferred. And if you're in season and don't see a dolphin, you ride again free!

WHO: Captain Stuart Wescott, a 9th generation Outer Banks Native and lifelong resident of Manteo began working on charter boats in 1966 at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, and since 1995 has operated the Outer Banks cruises business with his family.  See recent video of the Captain Johnny.

WHAT: The Guaranteed Dolphin Watch is our most popular tour from June to October. This two hour cruise is ideal for all ages. You will hear a factual narration on the Bottlenose Dolphin. Dolphin mating and birthing observed on many cruises. See the most respected aquatic mammal in it's natural habitat. Breathtaking views are all around you on this tour. Our large viewing areas offer everyone a good spot. Each vessel is covered for sun protection with a restroom on board and Coast Guard inspected. Our crews are usually native to the Outer Banks. They love to answer questions and show off the local area to all of our visitors. We believe you'll have the time of your life and it will be the most memorable afternoon of your trip to the Outer Banks.  See pods of wild dolphin in their natural habitat. Possibly the most exciting time of your vacation! Our guarantee*: In the unlikely event that we do not see dolphin, paying passengers are welcome to enjoy another two hour cruise free of charge.
