Nor'Banks Sailing and Watersports in Duck is more than just Sailing!! We have the Best Outer Banks Watersports location. We feature a one acre site with a 200' pier, grassy lawn, bathrooms, picnic tables with umbrellas and a ships store. These amenities make Nor'Banks Sailing and Watersports an ideal place to come and spend the day while enjoying all sorts of Outer Banks outdoor adventures. We offer Waverunners, Kayaking in single, double and quad kayaks, Parasailing, Pontoon Boat Rentals, Motorboat Rentals, Sailboat Rentals and many different Sailing lessons for all skill levels.
Brand New 4 Stroke Waverunners (quieter and faster) along with a huge riding area make Nor'Banks the best place to start your Outer Banks Waverunner experience. Our staff will give you a safety orientation, life jackets and will be on the course in a safety boat to ensure that you have a fun and safe experience.
Looking for an Outer Banks Parasailing adventure? The best views on the Outer Banks along with our USCG Certified Boats and experienced Captains will make your Nor'Banks Parasailing adventure second to none on the Outer Banks.
Nor'Banks Sailing in Duck has a variety of kayaks for you to experience your Outer Banks Kayak rental. We offer everything from paddling around the sound, to fishing to catching waves in the Ocean. These new kayaks from Cobra Kayaks come with paddles, backrests and PFD's. Our new Stealth Angler Kayaks come outfitted for fishing with rod racks and paddle clips along with backrests, paddles and PFD's. We offer the kayak rentals as both on-site (paddle from our site) and off-site (take it to your home).
Since 1979, Nor'Banks Sailing has been the premier location for your Outer Banks Sailing adventure! Our steady breezes, warm waters and uncrowded conditions make for some of the best small boat sailing on the East Coast. The Currituck Sound runs from 5-10 feet deep in our Sailing Area with average winds of 8-15 knots throughout the Summer. In 2007, large fleet of over 20 boats will feature completely refurbished Flying Scots along with brand new 2007 Hobie Cats and Windrider Trimarans and more.
If you wish to brush up on your sailing lessons, Norbanks Sailing offers a variety of Outer Banks sailing lessons to match your skill level. We offer a US Sailing Certification Course which is our best class and our "Learn to Sail" lesson. We offer an Introductory Sailing Class designed for the first time sailor and/or to refresh the old salt in you. Nor Banks offers a Racing 101 class which is an introduction to racing. Sailing experience is a pre-requisite for this class which involves classroom time and time on the water using our Hobie Waves and Private Lessons as well. Be sure to ask about this year’s Youth Sailing Camp this Summer for kids ages 10-14.
