Home has some undocumented enclosure for which records have not been found. A bit of history. Just a bit of history. When I first previewed this home on Sudie Payne Road, in Rodanthe, before purchasing it, my mind immediately recognized the potential for it to make a great vacation home. The name that came to my wife’s mind was Hearts Desire. It has the desired views and easy access to the ocean needed to satisfy those on vacations, yet is a safe proximity from the threat of her destructive forces which will
enable the owner to sleep at night. Hearts Desire was first designed and built by a craftsman who had an affinity for something artistic. This is evidence by all of the balustrades which were individually routed, even to the ends of the exposed roof rafters. The original floor plan was kept in tact except for the relocation of a few doors, and the redesign of the ground level deck to accommodate a hot tub. From that point the home was carpeted, painted, updated, furnished and extensively decorated as you can see by the visual tour. Features. Hearts Desire has a top deck master bedroom, that is sumptuously seductive, including an ocean view on the watch deck. The Master bath incorporates a
custom-made jet garden tub that you might expect to find only in a mansion. The tasteful decor provides a mental citadel for the couple that abandons themselves to her serene ambiance. Up the ships ladder to the Captains watch provides a panoramic view of the both the ocean and magnificent sunsets over the Pamlico Sound. What a place to enjoy that morning cup of coffee as you watch the daybreak and the sun rising in the east. But where are the children? Why, they are down on the lower level in the game room, entertaining themselves on the play station, shooting pool, or just outside practicing some hoop shots. The large Hatteras style covered decks allow for a pleasant afternoon of reading or loafing. The Hot tub on the lower deck by the outside shower is sure to help remove those twisted workday nerves. This home is an excellent income producer.
